Viewpoint Studios - Intern Work

I assisted Robin Moore and AE Reed on these jobs for various clients. The experience was very rewarding and I gained so much experience!

Viewpoint Studios - Intern Work

I assisted Robin Moore in staging the two Living Room shots above. I was given a style and furniture to go off of. Robin let me do a lot myself, coming by to correct what she felt needed to be changed. We made a good team!

I assisted Robin Moore in the planning, shopping, and the staging portions of these shots. For the kitchen and bath shots I researched and chose tile, lighting and furniture/accessories to be ordered, purchased and placed in the shots.

Commercial Retail Store Project

A Floor plan was assigned to us as well as a country to inspire our store. Mine was China, I chose to create a home furnishings, accessories, and fabrics store in the Chinese style. I mixed traditional Chinese elements with modern sell-able products.

Elevation of Cash Wrap area with traditional antique Chinese doors and water features on either side of the cash wrap. Between the draperies I selected a stone Buddha face to implement all the elements: stone, water, wood, plants, and soft fabrics.
Elevation of one side of the sales floor.
Elevation of Exterior of the store. I called the store Pagoda Furnishings.

Internship - Viewpoint Studios

At my desk, looking over some final images that I assisted designer Robin Moore on.

This is me in one of the bays laying out fabrics for a Lazy Boy shoot.

I completed an internship at Viewpoint Studios in December 2009. I worked 320 hours assisting designers, attending client meetings and conference calls, purchasing props and doing office work. I learned so much in just a few months and my coworkers were supportive and helpful the whole time I was there.
Fabric Selections for the Essa family's Great Room

Unity in Design

High Point Design Center's Unity in Design Contest. Jenni Booth, Latasha Driver and I received 1st Place.
“Student selected fabrics, finishes, and furnishings for the project using manufacturers within the High Point Design Center,” said Holly Barker, program head for the Interior Design program at RCC. “Floor plans, elevations and perspective drawings were visually presented to illustrate the design intent.” Students were asked to furnish and accessorize a great room, dining room, and hearth room and were given a specific floor plan.
Judging was a jury process based on innovation and creativity, competency of the design solution, appropriateness of the design solution for the client selected, use of product, and presentation/rendering of work. The jury consisted of Carol Jollay, Jollay Design Associates, High Point; Madge Megliola, Megliola Design Associates, Greensboro; and Toby Morrison, The Design Studio, Sanford." -http://www.rcc-interiordesign.blogspot.com/
